Who are we?

Smart Move Consultancy is owned and operated by Rudi and Odette Koster, a husband and wife team of Dutch origin. With previous lives in project management, building and engineering, in management, services and human resources, we have what it takes to get things done, to get things moving. We speak English, Spanish, German, French and our native language Dutch.

We moved to Costa Rica several years ago, bought and renovated real estate and opened and operated an apartment building for short and long term guests. When we sold the business, we decided to share our experience of moving to and living in Costa Rica with people who are dreaming about making their move, be it to live here permanently or for living the dream for only a part of the year. Because from personal experience we know how important it is to get started right if you don't want your dream to end in a nightmare.

Smart Move Consultancy is an independent consultancy and property management company, working for you. We can meet you at your hotel, at your home, at our office or by phone or email. Our reasonable rates are based on the services you require and on the time you need us. Ask us for an estimate.
We work with and rely on a large network of professionals of proven trustworthiness, based on our personal experiences or on verifiable and verified accounts of others. We use that network to your benefit, to your specific needs. Tailor made.
